The "Romantic Road"

Introduction
The "Romantic Road" (die Romantische Straße) is a tourist designation for the highways stretching from Würzburg in central Germany south towards Füssen. Along the way are a number of picturesque towns, castles, and churches, including some of the most popular sites in Germany. Several of the towns are still circled by walls.
Note that while Rothenburg ob der Tauber is part of the Romantic Road, it deserves a couple of album pages of its own: ROT 1 and ROT 2.
