Storyland
Storyland is a small theme park near Renfrew geared specifically to yong children (and their parents or guardians). The popular park in a wilderness setting features scenes from fairy tales, nursery rhymes and other children's stories, such as Humpty Dumpty, Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
The park also features other attractions such as mini golf, a pond with paddle boats, playgrounds, and a petting zoo. Three times a day, children are invited to Alice's Tea Party, where they can meet various story characters such as Alice, Cinderella and Tinkerbell, and sing songs with them. At one point, there's a nice view of the Ottawa River towards the north.
In 2007, many people were shocked to learn that Storyland would be closing. Fortunately, the park was bought by a group interested in keeping the theme park going. It will continue to delight children for years to come!
