Ottawa Locks

The first eight locks of the Rideau Canal can be found in the shadow of Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The canal starts just south of the Alexandria Bridge on the Ottawa River. Starting from here and passing through 45 locks, boats can reach Kingston at the southern end of the canal.
