Little Italy
Many neighborhoods in Toronto have their own distinctive street signs, and Little Italy is no exception with its street signs honoring one of its own. Johnny Lombardi was a popular figure in Toronto's diverse climate, for many years involved with a local multicultural radio station. One of his more controversial activities was the bikini contest during the annual CHIN picnic. Sadly, Lombardi passed away recently.
But, a block south of College Street, you can find a unique combination of street signs. Although many cities have streets named after American presidents, here you can find an intersection of streets named (coincidently) after a president and his vice-president! Clinton Street is a quiet residential street that runs for about one kilometer. Gore Street is a short cul-de-sac.
