The Fashion District

At one time, railroad sidings veered north to serve factories and warehouses west of the downtown. Those railroad sidings and warehouses are gone now, replaced by new developments in the Entertainment District. In contrast, most of the older industrial buildings in the area just to the west remain, with many being converted to trendy lofts.
