Liberty Street
This former industrial park is being turned into a desirable residential neighborhood. Not only are new townhouses being built on empty lots, but old factories are being converted in trendy lofts. Today, most old factories still await redevelopment, and still maintain their old gritty appearance.
For years now, some of the old industrial units were used as cheap housing, typically home to artists. Already, more and more people are being attracted by the newly converted loft housing, and the artists will again have to move elsewhere.
