August 2001, St Constant, Canada

Built in 1955 at the Montreal Locomotive Works, the 6765 is the only preserved unit of a class developed only in Canada. The FPA-4's were used on passenger trains east of Winnipeg until their retirement by VIA in 1989. During the 1960's these locomotives were used in Rapido service, hauling passengers at speeds up to 145 km/h.
