Winter in Guildwood Village #1 December 2005, Guildwood Village, Toronto, Canada Early Friday morning, I put out the garbage. Normally, I'd put it out the night before since the garbage collectors usually come early. But that would only serve to feed the raccoons. This particular Friday morning followed a December snow storm, and the street took on a magical appearance. Since I'd planned on taking the day off anyways, I decided to go out later with my camera. However, I was disappointed after the sky clouded over. Undaunted, I still walked around the block snapping pictures. Later in the morning, though, the sky cleared, and I took another walk around the block. This is a dramatic back-lit photo of our street.
